In the early hours of Thursday morning, March 26, 2026, Denver lost a piece of our shared history. The beloved City Park bandstand, a gathering place for music, celebration, and community, was destroyed by a fire. For 97 years, the bandstand has been a backdrop for summer concerts, weddings, prom photos, and a symbol of the simple joy that public spaces can bring.
The Denver Park Trust, in collaboration with City Park Alliance, City Park Friends and Neighbors, and Denver Parks and Recreation, is accepting donations to help rebuild the iconic bandstand. Your contribution will help restore the structure and ensure that future generations can experience the same sense of connection and belonging that the bandstand has provided for decades. Any funds raised beyond the cost to rebuild the bandstand will support projects and programs at City Park.
